About Jack Perkowski

Jack Perkowski, Author of Managing The Dragon: How I’m Building a Billion Dollar Business in China, is an American Businessman who, after 18 years on Wall Street, upped sticks to build his own business in China, currently valued at $500 million dollars. In 1994 Perkowski founded ASIMCO Technologies, now one of the leading manufacturers in the Chinese Automotive industry with over 12,000 employees and 17 manufacturing facilities. What makes ASIMCO unique is its format as a foreign-invested company that was established to specifically serve the China market and with specific investment in developing local management.

Under Jack’s leadership – ASIMCO has twice been named within the Ten Best Employers in China and is currently ranked #3. He himself has been named as of one 30 Outstanding Entrepreneurs in China’s Auto Components Industry and is the only foreigner to receive such a distinction. The significance of this award is highlighted by the fact that China is the second largest Auto Market in the World producing over 9.35 million units in 2008 alone.

In January this year – Jack stepped down as Chairman and CEO of ASIMCO to set up JFP Holdings – a merchant banking firm which aims to help companies with strong products and technology gain access into the Chinese market. Jack’s expertise in creating, building and running a major enterprise in China allows him to help other organisations implement their ‘China strategy’ and build the appropriate infrastructure support.. We look forward to welcoming him at Leaders in Dubai Business Forum
